Anthroid Paradise!

Sep 14, 2006 01:25

I think... I think the anthroid concept is finally getting off the ground, finally starting to spread... OMG, I'm so happy... I think my faith in people and humanity is starting to be restored. :D ( Read more... )

Your respect for people was based on their enjoyment of your pet concept? Your faith in humanity was dependant on their appreciation for your favorite fantasy? :)

I don't think that's how you meant it, but that's sure what it looked like you just said...

Well, please remember that anthroids are more than just a fantasy for me, they're a strong concept that I want to see more prevailant than it has been in the past. It's more that I have faith that I'm not such a weirdo and that there ARE a bunch of people who can be just as interested in the concept as I am, and that makes me feel better about the current situation I'm living in. *shrugs*

I think you're looking a bit too much into it. I'm just happy, damn it! :p

Keaalu, I think I get your warning now.

I'm curious which makes you happier... Anthriods, or other people embracing anthroids. Hard to tell from here. I doubt you'll ever see me use it, but I'll still be happy to listen to your ramblings, technologicalistic or otherwise.
Mostly, I'm still curious whether or not it matters if these things have to be mechanical...

I see that I came packaged with a warning? Grah, I told you that I was the most anthroid-obsessed person in the fandom. :p

Just like Morph, you're taking my words far too seriously. And, to tell you the truth, I'm happy because other people are embracing the concept. My own fantasies are cool, but they can't beat the reality of other people enjoying the concept. :)

Also, what's funny is that you say that I'm so obsessed with the concept when I've only mentioned it in maybe three of the last fifteen LiveJournal entries. Sheesh, I don't see people like you bashing furries for talking about furry-related concepts in most of their entries. :p

As far as it "mattering" whether they're mechanical or not... being mechanical or artificial is what makes them be anthroids. But that doesn't mean that I can only find happiness and companionship in anthroids. My ideal world would have an organic mate and a robotic mate. :)

Wrong warning; I kind of figured that part out by now. Besides, we all have our obsessions. It's part of what makes life fun. Besides, you should have seen how happy/surprised I was first time some of my characters got drawn...

As long it's up, I've not actually said you're obsessed, per se. Well... not in this entry, at least. I think. All I mean is, whether I'll use the concept or not, I won't mind listening to it. When you talk about it, that is.

I think I still missed the point with that shot, I'll aim again. If you remove the tech - the electrical components, gears, circuits and comp. chips, does it affect the concept, if the result is still an artificial creation? And no, this has nothing to do with your desires in companionship. I think.

Hmm... I've created some storylines where artificial beings become organic, for example, or where instead of being a machine, they're more like a golem that's magically animated. Sometimes I've even just used virtual reality, with AI beings with virtual bodies (think Cortana from Halo). To me, the most important part of an anthroid is that their origins are synthetic, and that their minds are at least 51% artificial intelligence, or something similar, rather than a meat brain.

I reply to a good number of them. The other half of your comments are so out of left field that there's no way my little brain can wrap itself around them. :p

That, and if your comment doesn't pertain to my entry, I'm less likely to reply to it, or I'll reply to it via chatting, not via LJ comment.
