agreed love. all humans in the US are supposed have the same rights. if we deny gays, then we're saying they're less than human.

I asked my mom about the equal protection thing and she said that marriage isn't a protected right under the law. Like they don't say, white people can get married but black cannot because marriage isn't a right within the united states, it's something that you can do if you want, etc. so that therefore not allowing gay marriage isn't illegal under that premise because marriage isn't under equal protection in the first place. which, that does make sense, even though I am still for gay marriage of course.
