V-Day
Hello! This would be my first non-icon-bearing post here in the DURRR!! comm. But, I thought that the occasion of ~*~V-Day~*~ would be more than a good enough excuse to make a celebratory post.
HAPPY VENDING MACHINE DAY
In honor of Vending Machine Day, I want to celebrate this important main character of DURRR!! !
For one, I found this great cosplay of Vending Machine-chan, and, of course, saved it to share with you all!
The costume itself looks great, and it's much easier to walk around in than carrying a giant box over your head like similar cosplays I've seen before. Too bad it's about $627. ): I don't know if I love Vending Machine-chan that much.
And here is a picture of Vending Machine-chan's voice actor getting caught by fans while out and about!
I wish I could be there! Those lucky schoolgirls!
Also, who else thinks Shizuo should try tossing Vending Machine-chan's cousin at Izaya next time?
Along the same note, my favorite DURRR!! pairing just so happens to be Shizuo/Vending Machine-chan~
Just look at how he protects Vending Machine-chan from the gushing water! I fell in love the moment I saw that scene.
And, well, it isn't by me, but my bro tsunderefish wrote a short fanfiction in celebration of today, and I'll share it since I'm posting anyway. (:

Shizuo was not specific in what he threw at Orihara. It didn't matter, if there was to be an instance where he needed something to be thrown, it would be thrown. However, there was one thing, only one, that he refused to touch.
A brand of vending machine that sold used panties.
There was only one left in all of Ikebukuro, and likely only one of two in the Toshima ward. The chances of him needing to throw it were slim, but there was always that possibility, considering he didn't know where Izaya would pop up next. It had become routine for him now, as he walked the streets of the city at night to think to himself, 'how far could I throw that? How long would it take to lift? Would it take too long, would Izaya get away?'
The ex-bartender took a drag from his cigarette, staring at the glow from said panty vending machine. In all likeliness, if someone was going to spend over four thousand yen on a pair of these, they didn't have much in their life to begin with. Time continued to pass, as Shizuo stood in thought, now no longer even thinking about the machine he was standing in front of, but the glow of the fluorescent lights hypnotically attracting his eyes.
That is, until the purring of a motorcycle approached and came to a halt, just a short distance behind him. The blond looked over his head to see the infamous cyclist, behind him, helmet giving no expression, but she needed no face to give off the tone she felt.
"... I'm not going to buy any," Heiwajima said, not all too concerned about what Celty thought to begin with, but it would be best to clear that thought.
The rider typed out on her phone the words, "Of course you weren't."
"... It'd be a waste. Could spend that on a dozen packs instead."
"I didn't insinuate anything."
"... No, you didn't." Shizuo took another deep breath from his cigarette, before dropping it to the ground and stepping on it. Hands deep in his pockets, he began to walk back down the alley, Celty turning her bike around to keep pace with him.
" So you were, weren't you?"
"No."

Anyway, that's it for now! Here's to hoping we see more Vending Machine-chan in episode 7, I thought I saw it in the preview, so~
