How come when I order stuff from the Official Dennis Kucinich Store the paypal merchant is listed as orders@officialedwardsstore.com - directed to a John Edwards site. I am praying that it could possibly mean an Edwards-Kucinich ticket, which Del and I have actually dreamed about. Of course, the fact that we'd be happy to see him jump on the ( Read more... )

I'm in your november 2007 birth community and read a few of your last entries and felt...we are doing much the same! cloth diapering (we're doing austinbabystore diaper service for a while at least), seton (ours is the one on 38th), and some other stuff I can't remember. But this....this just topped it.
I voted for Kucinich last primary! I think he is lovely. I just can't believe people don't respect him! He is so articulate and honest and he can be in-your-face which people in the US apparently love. Plus, his stances and ideas are better than most or all...probably all democrats running this time. (mostly...though not sure about something---can't remember what again. damn being pregnant)...
While Edwards is better than some others, I think Richardson on paper sounds pretty good. Though I don't agree with a bunch of his positions, I think he could greatly improve our foreign policy and relations. Plus maybe because I'm Mexican I would be excited to see him up there. Ok thats all. Sorry to intrude :)

No intrusion! We are a lot alike. I am going to the Seton on 38th as well - I live on 55th, so it isn't too far. I'm adding you if that's ok?

As for Edwards, I like his domestic policies and the fact that he stands up to lobbyists and big money, despite the fact that he could be considered a front-runner (it's really easy for front-runners to give into lots of money). I think he has the charm and charisma to get votes (a la Bill Clinton) without completely selling out. Richardson and Kucinich are definitely closer to my views, I just worry about their 'electability' against some of the repubs just because of the way the voting here is such a popularity contest. I think pairing Edwards with Kucinich would be sooooo awesome because shit would get done (Kucinich) and people would be happy about it (Edwards).

that's true. I have heard that richardson can sound like a pompous ass, so edwards would definitely be more likely to get voted.
