Kevin Dowling and the Times

Once again, I gripe about a news source. Yes, I want them to be idealistic: I want their misinformation to be exclusively accidental.

I feel sorry for poor Kevin Dowling, the Times makes it look like he can't distinguish between words and a story line. At least the Times is charitable enough to give him money for it.

Yes, this is my way of saying I don't approve of misinforming headlines to sell advertising space, and the Times drops another notch in my view for the practice. I'll still play their free sudoku game.

The Reader Comments are filed with people who did not read or did not understand the content of the article. There is even someone claiming to be a judge who didn't pay attention to details of the article. They read the headlines and skim at most, making the false headlines the primary communication for the commenting readers, and maybe the Times readers in general.
