Whaat?! :'(

But if anything, this has confirmed one of the reasons why I love them so much. It wasn't a representative from Live Nation or whatever who was up there. it was Lars, Kirk and Rob themselves who was up there, facing the audience. (Even though it was Lars who did all the talking. Or they cut before the other two managed to get a ( Read more... )

Aw, but it was just stomach flue, right? Maybe I shouldn't say 'just stomach flue', I know a lot of diseases I'd rather have, but still. (At least he didn't fall out of a palm tree...)

Yes, it was but I didn't know that at first, so it went a bit like this: "James Hetfield...hospital...OMG!" :P But I knew that when I wrote this, otherwise this entry would have been a lot more frantic. He had even left the hospital when I wrote it and everything.

Still, you can't really play a concert when you have the stomach flue. Especially not when you're the frontman. "Um, please excuse me while I go to the bathroom. Here, in the meantime, have a drumsolo from Lars" :D

I somehow doubt that he even could climb up in a palm tree for starters... :P

I can't think of anything one can do while having a stomach flue. Except maybe crawl back and forth between the bathroom and the bed.

"I somehow doubt that he even could climb up in a palm tree for starters... :P" It's much safer that way.

I don't think I ever have had it (peppar-peppar-ta-i-trä) fortunately.

It really is. We're talking about a man who managed to fall off a skateboard and break his arm during a tour, managed to stand in the pyrotechnics, which led to him getting two and three degrees burns and he's injured his back on some occasion(s) and, I think, have "regular" back pains. Now that I think about it, I don't think that he injured himself skateboarding only once but that it happened several times. I know that he at one point (I think during the eighties, early nineties) actually had a clause in his contract, forbidding him to skate while on tour. Aw Jamyz...

(I could say something about how interesting you must find this but, you know, it's trivia^^)
