That is a great quote^^ It's a difficult question, too. If you start something as big as a book series, you kind of have to be sure you can finish it. But, then again, anyone can get a writer's block and it's better that it takes longer and turns out good than just writing something because you have to. Then, maybe, one doesn't have to go as far as a certain Mr Dylan and say: 'Just because you like what I do it doesn't mean I owe you something.' It is somehow true, but it sounds so harsh...
Yeah, I agree with you. If I start reading a series I kind of expect the author to finish it in somewhat reasonable time (not that I actually have read that many ongoing series besides Harry Potter) but at the same time we all know the hell that is writer's block and if you try to force anything anyway, well, you get the next part but the quality of said part might not be so good. So yes, I agree with you, it's a complex matter.
