a) After Haley has heard all this and pretended to be okay with it in front of Kal, Kal finds out later that she's gone behind his back and told his parents and his friends. Mark and Justin confront him about it immediately at school the next day, which gives away her betrayal. Kal explains to him what he's seen and says that he can't help it. They are supportive and understanding, as they have never seen Kal so unsettled before and they figure that it has to be real because of the way it unnerves their friend.

b) Kal's parents confront him that night at home, asking him why he didn't come to them about it. He explains to them what he's been seeing and the psychic who told him what it was. His mom and dad tell him that they believe him, but for the safety of the general population if he couldn't at least pretend he was normal outside of the safety of their home, then they would have no choice but to commit him. He protests vehemently, but they stand firm on their decision.

c)Kal goes to school the next day and tries not to notice when he has visions, but it's extremely hard. He finds Haley and tells her that she betrayed his trust in her, and although he understands the concern she had, it gave her no right to do that to him. He breaks up with her for her lack of loyalty which causes a scene in the hallway as she tries desperately to get him to stay with her even after the betrayal she's just put him through.

d) Mark and Justin comfort Kal, because they know how rough it is to have a girl bend you backwards before stabbing and twisting the knife. He looks at them and asks if they believe him about the visions he's been having, and they both nod, seriously, because it's a serious question. He sighs with relief and they tell him that any time he wants to talk to them, he can. At that point, he looks Mark straight in the eye and says, "Go comfort Haley. You'll end up married someday." Which of course, freaks his friends out in a "that's so cool!" kind of way, and Mark does what Kal suggests, though he looks a bit apologetic.

e) Justin walks with him and tries to get Kal to tell him about his future, but Kal tells him that there are so many possibilities that he can't figure out which one to give him for certain. That isn't true, but he has decided that the future shouldn't be influenced too much, and he neglects to tell Justin that he only has a few more years to live in any situation. Five years is the longest he can expect, and that's if he follows one path. Technically, he should have died on Deadman's Peak, but Kal managed to spare him from that fate. Kal basically broods on this as he walks to his class. Mark and Haley catch up to them and they all stand in a circle before the first bell rings, making plans for later that afternoon.

f) Mark, Justin, and Kal all decide that they're going to go to the movies that night, and Haley decides she wants to tag along. They readily agree, but tell her that she has to provide the money for her own ticket, which isn't a problem, and they all go their seperate ways. Kal hasn't had a vision the entire day so far, but he's gotten to the point that he expects at least one before the night is over.

g)At dinner, Kal talks to his parents, tells him that he's not had any more visions, that he'll let them know if he does, and that he's going to the movies tonight. They readily agree to let him go, with one condition: if he has a vision, he has to come straight home. Not a problem, of course, but Kal knows that he might end up missing the movie, a small defeat compared to the one he would feel were his secret to get out to the general populous.

So, went to Roctober Fest in Ashe- basically just a bunch of local metal bands (who mostly suck, but some are good) and ended up helping out selling concessions and getting reimbursed on my ticket price. ^_^

So that was fun.

Other than that, bored.

Have to do my schoolwork tomorrow before I just don't do it... gahness.
