a) He leaves his house and picks Justin up- Mark is going to pick Haley up, according to what they decided earlier- and they talk about how the break-up has affected Kal, and he explains that it still hurts, despite the fact that he knew, without a doubt, that it had to happen- seeing the future and all. Justin tells him about his problems at home (his father's abusive and a bit of an alcoholic) and Kal sympathizes with him, telling his friend that he only has a few more years to have to deal with it.

b) Justin and Kal meet up with Mark and Haley at Burger King, where they all decide (through cell phones) to get a quick bite to eat before the movie. At Burger King, they all talk about how excited they are to see the movie V for Vendetta and Kal suddenly realizes how innocent all of his friends are. Every time he looks at someone, he sees the different paths of the future and he knows things no one should ever know. He suddenly feels old and too experienced for his age, and has difficulty focusing on the conversation and instead directs his attention to his meal.

c) Everyone finishes eating and they ride over to the movie theater and Mark is selected to go buy the tickets while everyone else stands outside, waiting to see who else shows up for the movies, Kal included. A car screeches by and Kal suddenly has to lean heavily against one wall, but when his friends ask him if he's okay he just nods and waves them off. How he has the semblance of thought to do so is an impossible answer to deliver. He shrinks into the wall as he sees himself being bodily thrown in front of a car by a faceless person and crushed underneath the wheels.

d) He gasps as he comes out of the vision, more certain than ever before that what he just witnessed was his own death. He apologizes to his friends, tells them he has to go because his parents are calling, and walks over to the car and pretends to answer the phone. He walks back to them and says that he's sorry but his parents say he has to come home right now and walks back to his car and gets inside, breathing heavily, trembling at the vision he just had.

e) He rushes home to his parents' house and tells them that he had another vision and that he wants to lie down for a bit. He doesn't tell them what he saw, despite their heroic efforts to get him to tell them. He just says it has something to do with being crushed with a car- not who, not when- and they seem to be satisfied with that. For the first time, he notices that he himself is crisscrossed with possible futures and there are non-corporeal forms standing around him, guarding their right to influence the path he takes. Desperately, he begins talking to them, asking him how he can avoid the fate that he just witnessed. All of them begin talking at once, so many he can't understand them, and finally he just settles on the idea of avoiding the movie theater completely, despite attempts of getting them to speak one at a time.

So I did all of my reading for my business class today and took all the notes I could. I'm going to do the actual work tomorrow, so as not to do everything in one day. I only have three things to do, all of them fairly short and easy and all discussion questions, so it's really like doing one assignment.

All I have to do for my Intro to Undergrad Learning Class is post a paragraph of my narrative essay and respond to other classmates' posts. So, who else thinks it's ridiculous to have a maximum word limit of 400 words for an essay? I mean, seriously. Talk about a bare minimum.

I've been watching Inuyasha all day... I'm trying to get caught up to Mikey, which is nearly impossible considering he's seen so many of them.

Right now, I'm going to try to find some sort of game I can play... I'm a bit restless.
