i'm in new yawk for the day drinking rum and eating avocados. i'm going to wrastle manitees in the domincan republic. i got a five minute history lesson on the place. hopefully i'll be captured by cubans and get a tan.
i have an urge to visit cuba i especially want to learn to speak spanish there is a wonderful program called Canada World Youth that sends groups of twenty somethings to different countries (africa, india, the ukraine) for 3.5 months to do social and community building tasks. I hope to get to travel there with them one day and really get to work with the cuban people.
The coolest part of the program is that it is a partnership and equal amount of youth from the partner country come to a province in canada for 3.5 months as well.........you are linked up -paired -given a counterpart.......and end up spending 7 months together.
