Well, it's about time...

I've FINALLY got around to watching the first series of Downton Abbey (don't judge, I've been busy) and I can safely say, I LOVE IT. The (supposed) scandals, the snark, the upstairs-downstairs storylines... It's just like a Jane Austen novel! Only more gay! (They didn't beat about the bush getting that in, did they? First episode? I was impressed ( Read more... )

abominations on the internet, education vs. period drama, footmen are a new kink, well it's about time, exponential slash potential, a day well spent

I too love Downton. Have you started watching the second series yet. It gets a he'll of a lot more dramatic.

Anyway who are you thinking about slashing, ie what pairings?

I've just this minute finished catching up with the second series on itv player. You're right in saying it's more dramatic! Sheesh. It's all bloody happening now. o.o

Anyone with Thomas, really. I'm not too fussed. I would say with Branson, but now that Sybil's hinting that she might run away with him, that ruined that plan. XD

I think I may have already replied to this anonymously by accident from my blackberry bit incase I haven't I shall reiterate.

Drama indeed. I would have thought the war would have lasted longer, the second season started later on during the war. I dunno the wars ended and how far are we into the new season. They could have had the full season be the war. Anyway.

Yeah Thomas is vile and evil but so so handsome. I can't see him being with anyone other than that blind soldier who killed himself (that broke my heart btw). I'm rooting for Branson/Sybil, vehemently! I'd like to see Branson in some man-love but Thomas and he are too much of opposites. They wouldn't fit. I suppose PWP would work but hmm.

Omg I need to write Thomas/Blind soldier fic. Fix-it fic! What was the blind soldiers name again?

I think it was Lieutenant Edward Courtenay. Oh, that storyline broke my heart, despite how short it was. I never knew Thomas had in in him to be so upset.
