man, i feel like that brings up so many points of discussion, like whether or not humans are innately monogamous, polyamorous, or neither (or if it even matters...do we transcend our nature in societym regardless?). cheating not only has to do with remorse and an understanding of the consequences on the part of the cheater, but vulnerability, forgiveness, and the complexity of emotions on the part of the cheated.

apparently the majority of people who've been cheated on willingly stay in the relationship when given the chance. it's just so damn complicated. kudos on knowing what you think of it, whether or not others do :)

I dated this guy once and after we broke up I found out he had cheated with like 6 guys. I was repulsed.

I agree and disagree with parts. I have never been a cheater but have been cheated on multiple times. I agree that the main thing dealt with is the emotion of both parties. Since I have only been the victim and there for only have the perspective of the wounded. It was just so much of a loss of trust as well as vulnerabilities issue. I can understand and respect those who are able to work past their obstacles but I haven't found myself someone who can let infidelity be one of those overcome-able obstacles.
