www is depreciated

Why should you have to type www. at the beginning of all your urls? It's pointless. When you send mail to someone, you don't have to send it to someone@mail.hotmail.com, it just does it automatically. Since web browsers are configured to use http:// and prepend it to the location/address bar automatically, the www. is pointless ( Read more... )

If you have a URL search hook, you shouldn't need to. It does it automatically. Oh, and I agree, there is no point in automating one part of the prefix, and not the rest!
