I really like reading about your opinions on comedy because at one point it was probably the most important thing to me. ALWAYS WRITE ABOUT IT because I don't pay enough attention to stand up anymore like I should and you remind me to go buy a new album every now and then

Currently listening to audiobook of John Hodgman's "More Information Than You Require", which seems to vary between okay and TOTALLY AWESOME. I have also re-discovered my appreciation for PDQ Bach, and I think my cats are scared of me from the sudden outbursts of raucous laughter immediately followed by choking and coughing.
To echo nerdcore, when I was in Jr. High and High School, stand-up comedy routines were my soundtrack. George Carlin, Bill Cosby, Steve Martin, Steven Wright, Rich Little -- I memorized their routines and would re-enact them with my friends while walking to school. We also listened to Dr. Demento religiously every week.
Not sure how I lost my devotion to stand-up, but I would like it back. I should make you play the good stuff I've never heard when I'm over there sometime...

Also, I feel you on comedian ages. Patton Oswalt is like pushing 40. That's weird to me, and I don't know why.
