Kayaking

So they kayaking was crazy! It took us a while to get a hang of it. We started off outside of down in a large canal. The then rowed into a little neighborhood, got out and looked around for a bit. you had first mentioned canoeing, but kayaking now that's a different deal. Good for you, sounds wonderful - except maybe for the spider webs and tunnels - what a ride!

Yea, your Grandma and I were talking yesterday about how Bikes are so big in Europe in general. Sounds like you got yourself a good one w/ the lights and all - Enjoy!
Interesting customs at the grocery. And a true 'Smeekens' looking for that sale - LOL. Make that money go far... Sounds like you may have to get a basket for the bike for those Big shopping sprees, lol.
Always injoy your entries and I share them W/your Grandma when I talk to her every few days.

so steph, i guess you don't need those 'fashionable' walking shoes anymore now that you have a bike to ride:)

So when will the studies begin,so this is summer. I will be sending a box at end of month tell me what you need. I assume u will take the bike to leidden(sp?) That will be an interesting commute with all your luggage and a bike????Good luck,mom
