One day we will hate the sound of a bad cough, and feeling sick again won't be even more comfortable than I remembered. One day both of us will understand that the number on the scale and even the reflection in the mirror won't reveal our beauty. One day we will laugh and drink milkshakes and speak French and run and read and dance and play music. One day we will be able to express ourselves fully without lying. One day we will want to live through winter. One day you will find something in the mail from me. One day I will like children a lot. One day you and I will be more in love with some new boys than ever previously imaginable. One day, just maybe, one day we will be happy.

I know, if you would've read the story you would understand my point. But anyway, ill keep it short.
One day we will learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. We will extend our awareness outwards, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendent, and to embrace them is to achieve enlightenment.
