And that's why I included the example of the gardener!
Have you seen 'Being there'? If not, rent it!
It's all about a simple minded guy, uttering gibberish which nobody understands, but it SOUNDS nice and nobody wants to admit that they are clueless and everyone pretends to see the deeper meaning behind it all, the vision, the genius and the philosophy and treat the guy as a deity.
So... after four years .. you can't simply say, "Oops, sorry, I was wrong... got completely misled" .. that would be so ... uhm... err.. not fitting the culture.
