POSSIBLY this came about because so much research is done on pigs, and especially on the pig fetus - and especially on piggie stem sells and the porcine equavalent of cord blood. Because pigs are genetically quite like humans -- research on transplanting pig organs into humans is quite advanced and it many predict that pig pancreas will be the first viable animal to human transplants. This will be very, very good news for diabetics!

I LOVE politics!
