i know you can't help the way you feel, emotions refuse to follow logic... but you also have to learn that you have a life outside of your relationship, while you may be part of a couple, you are still yourself first and foremost, and you cannot lose sight of that, don't be afraid to enjoy things on your own, you will be a richer person for it, don't let your relationship become a handicap when it should be one of the most enriching experiences/responsibilities of your life

there are other things happening in my life and my relationship with emma has become the umbrella of it all. i still have my life. but with her absence it's harder to protect myself from the things crashing around me.
