Yay, some art after many months of drawing diddly-squat! Inspired by Zuko's extreme lame-itude of all things, in 'The Western Air Temple'. But if it gets me to draw, I'm not complaining!
Thanks, glad you liked! The blue-green is actually a pearlescent ink, but too bad it doesn't show up in the scan. But you say 'yellow-ochre'...ah ha, I see from your lj you draw too! :D
What I originally attempted to try was hiroyuki asada's painting style, if you know who he is? Seems like I'm going to have to foul up quite a few more pictures before I can get to that level though. -_-
Oooh, I really like this! I think the roughness of the smudges and the darker colours and that it is real media and not pristine perfect like digital art can be really reflects Zuko's personality.
That and it looks like he's probably stuck his foot in his mouth again and is now off by himself dwelling on it.
