Mom: What?
Me: The word "stork." English: stork. Swedish: stork. Danish: Stork. German: der Storch. Dutch: ooievaar.
Mom: Kinda makes you wonder what the Dutch guy was doing when they were making up the words.

I have a couple of dutch friends. I could totally appreciate that. Especially because everyone had to figure out how to pronounce 'Klaatje'.

Nice- yeah I've started casually studying the language. It's the closest thing to English out there, and since I'm good at Spanish but still not 100% comfortable all the time, I don't want to start working on something else too effort-consuming. Maybe later. Oi.

hehe, and it seems the Finnish guy took the same stuff as the Dutch guy as stork is haikara in finnish :D

Hehe yes, but as time has shown, Finnish isn't related to ANYTHING IN THE WORLD!!!
