Nothing from MIT came in the mail today, so I just gave up and called the school for a decision.

big mess-up at the mit admissions office. all of the tubes got sent out like, several days before the letters. several states still awaiting the mail, i believe. read about it: http://www.artofproblemsolving.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=65466

Yeah, I heard about that last night. That's why I was able to call today instead of tomorrow.

don't worry about it, i'm sure you'll get in during RD. i think the admission officers mentioned that they know they are deferring applicants that they are SURE they will accept during RD. so you are probably on that "to-be-accepted-during-RD" list.
