Reality Check!
I just realized last night while in class that I am turning 30 next year!!! Holy shit....30. Thats sort of freaking me out. I remember when I was in my early 20's I always said, "I can't wait to be in my 30s"....well now its coming and I am holding on for dear life. What are you going to do with your fabric? I meant to tell you the other day, I'm not sure how much you sis knows about fabric, I'm assuming she told you that a fat quarter is only 18"x22" right?

Yep, I only needed a small amount so I went with the fat quarter. I will be using the quarter in a section of a sofa cushion that I'll be making. I actually plan on redoing all of my sofa cushions and just reusing the existing stuffing. Can't wait to add some color on my big green sofa.
My first project actually doesn't involve any sewing. It's more of an arts and crafts project. I found this on Anna Maria Horners blog. She create silhouettes on stretched canvas using her fabric. It'r pretty sweet...I love the idea of doing a positive/negative silouette. These pieces will be hung in our bathroom and actually they're pretty rad as gifts too..so, I know what I'll be doing for some friends for Christmas. Here is an idea of what they look like:
