'Miss Foster' lowers her glasses from the bridge of her nose and peers over the top, inspecting her surroundings in that wonderfully superior way that she has down to a tee, the vague hint of a smirk pulling at the corners of her lips.

"Well what have we stumbled upon here? How very very interesting. Oh I do so like all these alternate universes ( Read more... )

Why hello there, Matron.

Have a Doctor. This is not the Doctor she ran into though, all those long years ago. This Doctor is older, this Doctor is looking a touch more haggard, a little thinner. More wolfish around the cheekbones than anything else. Upon seeing her, though, his face lights up and he raises a hand in greeting. Oh, Nexus, you strange, strange thing.

"'Allo!" he chirps.

"Doctor." She greets flatly in response, regarding him with a disdainful cock of her eyebrow.

"A little older I see, how unfortunate that time has taken its toll on your appearance, yet neglected to curb your ridiculously cheery nature."

Oh, Matron darling, you've made the poor Doctor pout. Look at him, you've just kicked a puppy. He shoves his hands in his pockets and looks up at her from underneath his dark brows and the shock of mussy brown hair atop his head.

"Really now, that's just unfair. Here you tried to use my favorite planet as a breeding colony, and I even tried to help you in the end of everything, and all you've got to say is, 'look what the cat dragged in.'" The Doctor grimaces a bit. "Really, that hurts. Ooh, right, question. I know this place is a little weird on people dying and all, but, ah, I'm really dying to know, you've got to tell me, how'd you get here?"

But it doesn't whimper, well almost, but kicking a puppy is only really worthwhile if it whimpers properly.

"Excuse me?" She removes her glasses for no more reason than exaggerated theatrics. "Are you suggesting Doctor, that in your universe I died? I think not. As you can see, I'm quite well thank you." The sarcasm is dripping from her words.

"If my memory serves me correctly, you did indeed make such incredulous claims. How wrong you were."

The TARDIS stares at her for a moment before speaking.

"Miss Foster."

"You know my name." Matron replies haughtily. "You will tell me how, and you will do it promptly. Are we quite clear?"

The Master doesn't know who this woman is- doesn't particularly care, honestly- but her attitude is enough to cause one eyebrow to lift. The affectation of superiority amuses him (because in the Master's mind, very few people are superior to him, and this woman certainly isn't), but he can appreciate the sentiment.

'Quite,' he drawls, from his position leaning against one wall. 'Gives one certain, unique liberties. And entirely without paradox, too! Brilliant place.'

Koschei shrugs. "It's okay I guess. I'd rather be back home though."
