Every little girl's first doll has to be a Madam Alexander baby doll. Dana's was the big PussyCat baby doll. Maureen's was Victoria, and I just found a vintage Alexanderkins little PussyCat for the new baby.

Nah, it's just a tradition in my family. My first doll was a MA baby, and then my favorite doll as a child was a MA "Kathy" who I immediately regendered and renamed "Butch" LOL

My mom refused to buy any doll that peed, and then I found that I felt the same way.

I don't recall as I ever USED the peeing function. None of the memories I have involve that. She had a crib and all of that, but I don't believe I ever filled the bottle. Even then, I was a lazy little kid who didn't want to clean up other beings' eliminations, lol.
