Blue Moon Tavern (45th street NE at I-5)...big part of music history as well as Seattle's.
The statue of Jimi Hendrix on Broadway.....The guitar he played at Woodstock is bronzed into it.
The Fremont Troll...very famous landmark underneath the Aurora Bridge.
Seattle waterfront...go see the aquarium and all the rad shops down there, especially the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop.
Seattle Underground tour...in pioneer square, downtown, Seattle is built on top of the original city, which burned down in 1910, but it's still there!
The Ballard Locks......there's an underwater viewing for the fish ladder, and the king salmon are running right now, so you'll see lots of HUGE salmon swimming up it, plus the huge sea lions out in the harbour snacking on em. Also the Lockspot Tavern there is home to the Deadliest Catch fishermen and you can even tour the Northwestern at the Ballard Fisherman's Wharf.
Hope this helps a little! Lived in Seattle for half my life. The other half I lived outside of Tyler, TX. Cheers!
I actually found Pike Place Market on accident while walking around on Friday morning, and where I have had breakfast every morning at the Soundview Café.. Apparently, it's fairly popular (specifically the fish market) or famous, but it's just funny to me that I walked straight to it at 6 in the morning before they even had everything setup.
