The issue of net neutrality has existed for quite a while now and as time goes on. It gets lobbied around and its a lot to do about nothing really. While its feasible that this type of corporate whoring could take over the internet, it doesn't seem likely considering its global multi-national nature. Still its cool that your making more people aware of it and that people still realize that while the net is free right now, that freedom is just as easily lost due to inaction. In addition to writing your congressman, I'd also suggest writing to your ISP as they're potentially the ones who also could turn around tell you to eat a dick unless you either pay them more money or use sites they partner with. They just need to understand they won't make as much money if they start trying to limit the free market on the internet.
