ehh, be like the Persians and reformat...

the Greeks were the ones with the guerilla tactics...

it'll fix your problems...and it's not like reinstalling Firefox and Eve take so that long to redownload...and it's not like you play any of the other games installed on your computer.

oh, and I'm attempting to come to your church Wednesday, if at all possible...so I need to either see you tomorrow at lunch, or call you so much that your mother forces you to talk to me...that or just ask for you.

Nah, the Grecians were more organized, using the tight formations of Phalanxes long after they defeated the Persians. I would say their northern neighbors the Thracians were more along the lines of guerillas, with peltasts and what not.

David, search for Spy Bot-Search and Destroy, download it, and use it once a day.

yes, but their main strategies were more guerilla than the Persians but that's because they couldn't win against the Persians on land...

but, eventually the Greeks found out that frontal assualts are bloody, and consequently lost to Phillip and Alexander.

I suppose, although the Athenians managed to hold out to the last, even to the burning of their own city, nonetheless. But we both must hand it to the Diadochi of Alexander's succesors, Seleuceus and Ptolemy, for managing to hold on to even a fraction of Alexander's empire after his drunken death. I would say they were the last bastion of pure Hellenism against the tide of both the East and Rome. Adapting to India's elephants were a step up indeed.

just so you know, I loathe Alexander and the Macedonians...so I have very little knowledge of Ptolemy and all those guys who couldn't hold a kingdom if their life depended on it..oh wait, it did.

Alexander was a genius, I'll give him that, but I just don't like the guy...might be smart, might be good at tactics, but really, he wasn't up against the Rommel of his time...if the Persians had put a little more thought into their tactics than simply lining up their men and letting them rush at the enemy, they might have repulsed Alexander, and it would have been a very short campaign...

of course, if Ptolemy really did adapt to elephants and such, he should have been a general, not a governor...
