Oh dear ! I can understand your feeling of powerless to cure your lovely Dweedie, Renée. You can be cut in two. On one side, the relief to know it's not an infectious disease, but on the other side, the anxiety to not know what the problem is.
To imagine him "eating by inside" by a crappy illness, gosh !
Cats are so difficult to cure, I truly hope you'll find what he suffers from the sooner possible . That would be such a beautiful present for your Bday !
Thank you for your tender words, Cate. They mean more than you know. I am not in the mood to be celebrating a birthday this weekend. The greatest gift I have this year is your friendship.
I have one friend whom I met on a job 3-4 years ago, we have kept in touch all this time. She is married but with no children - and 2 cats! And a smart, professional lady. We got together for a catch-up dinner this week and she told me her husband's job is moving them to Chicago... (not exactly a day's trip in the car). *heartbreak* Lots of loss in these past 4 months.
But this, too shall pass... meanwhile, I appreciate the hug! xox
AW ! This poor POOR Dweedie !!! This pic is really heartbraking ! But with your update, there is a rather good new : Your Baby Black gained some weight... Well, half a pound, right, but it's a good beginning for his recovery !
Hold on, Dweedie !!!! We all have our fingers, toes and paws crossed ! You're a brave and stoic cat, and I'm sure you'll find the way to make your beloved mistress smile for her birthday ! ;)
I know your feelings and thoughts about that sometimes it's better to struggle with known infection than uncertainty and metabolic disturbance. If I only could help you! I can only said that organism is stronger tnan it seems. I very hope your cat's kidney function is still good!
