I wouldn't have thought of Mrs H as the person associated with the noose, but it's logical, particularly if taken as a symbolic item. That was well thought of.
The bit with the heart is touching - given the reference to the new owner, clearly the old owner had lost it and a different owner with a cane claimed it. Well done, though sad.
...the owners would always come back for them.
