This would have been so much better than what really happened. I could have been happy with this kind of character development. I was wondering why you'd write S10 fic, but this is a really good take on things.

Haha consider it my first s10 fic, and my last one. It was an old WIP that I found half written on my laptop. Glad I got your review. I had a 'guest' reviewer on ff.net whose only comment was, 'sorry, didn't like' with no explanation. I hate those reviewers.

I have written a River/Doctor fic recently for a flist member and I did add another chapter to my Eleven/Ruth crossover fic. I need to finish that one actually.

Anyway, I just wanted to have a more ambiguous Elena and a less pushover Ruth. You know something strange- as I wrote this fic, I realised that I disliked both Ruth and Harry in s10. Depending on the episode, both of them acted like jerks. The character developement was just so awful.

M makes me think of James Bond. I still have Skyfall feelings.

Ugh, those people should just not comment. Sadly, in the fan fiction world, readers often focus on their head-canons instead of paying attention to the quality of the writing or the writer's point.

Honestly, I haven't watched these episodes in over a year, so I can't say I remember everything. Mostly, I think they all stopped making sense, and the new characters never made sense to me either. The relationship between Ruth and Harry kept going back and forth without any emotional or factual coherence. I don't know how the writers and the production team worked or why they made these choices, but most of them were the wrong ones. Tbh I don't count S9 and S10 as 'proper' Spooks anymore. My emotional investments in these characters stops at 8.8.

Haha I got like 7 more reviews today all positive where some bashed the anon. reviewer and got stuck into the 'harry/ruth must have babies or this fic sucks' fans. Made me feel better and sadly I feel that there are far too many spooks fans like that out there; the harry is mr perfect ones and the harry/ruth together4eva ones annoy me the most. And people called Lucas fans extreme! But I know I am a good writer so... their loss ;)

haha I deleted s10 from my harddrive and haven't rewatched them since I saw 10.6. My memory of them is not so good either. Apparently my Elena was slightly off but I blame that on refusing to rewatch. Ruth and Harry took turns making no sense every alternate episode of s10. Erin- utterly wasted. Ditto Dimitri and Calum. tbh I haven't rewatched spooks in months. I will again one day because I liked some series a lot but just... still hate the writers.
