This is the final part of the first story in a short AU series.
I want to thank my beta
oldweirdme aka Mahala for all her help, and her suggestion on the title. This would have been much more of a train wreck otherwise.

The Bloom of the Flutterby
Epilogue
by Mariposa Torres
Jill was walking across the roof to the pigeon coop when she looked up and saw the Doctor in her path. "So, you must be Jack's Jill." he said looking at her with a piercing gaze.
"Shatlehonaaeisotsoh." she said with a mischievous smile on her face.
The Doctor gave a small smile, "You're named after a Gallifreyan folk hero, an obscure one at that."
"One of your favorites. Shatlehonaaeisotsoh the slayer of vampires."
"I should lecture you about playing fast and loose with personal timelines, up to and including examples but I suppose that I've done that already."
"And will again." She crossed her arms and looked at him, "Why are you here? You know I can't tell you anything."
"No harm in asking." His eyes twinkled, "Unfortunately I'm not one..."
"...for strict adherence to rules." She laughed at the face he made. "Mum says it all the time. 'Most blokes try flowers first, but your dad blew up my job, he's not one for rules of any sort'."
They both laughed, the Doctor noticing that Jack was right. She laughed like Rose. "I just wanted to," He stopped, shaking his head. "Good travels, Shatlehonaaeisotsoh."
"Good travels, Father."
The Doctor watched her enter the pigeon coop and waited until it dematerialized. He smiled and turned, heading for the stairwell, heading for home.
