Yesterday was a fairly eventuful day for me; I started the new semester of "Conversational Mandarin for the Professional" at the KU Edwards campus. I love the Chinese language a little more every day, I think. Close to done with Song of Solomon (Oh poor Hagar - dumb self absorbed Hagar)and then I will give Chuck Pahlaniuk a try!

Maybe you should get a tatoo of your brain scan - it sounds pretty - blue, yellow and red!

Yes, my former roommate deemsterhood took Japanese for a while at KU and taught me a smidgen of what she learned. I liked the system of syllables. It's weird; I have little trouble memorizing characters, it's the spoken part of Chinese that trips me up. How much Japanese do you know?

Generally I like Chucky P., but Haunted didn't do a goddamn thing for me. I know. I was surprised too.

Hee hee, they tickle. I liked parts of "Haunted," (the one about The Matchmaker was pretty good) but yeah, the overarcing story sort of sucked.
