So,I haven't bleached my hair yet. I need to, only to be consistent, but it will be hard to be Santa this year in the time of Pandemic. Still... I want to get rid of my weirdly off-color roots and yet that would involve da elf who is never here anymore. Are y'all separated? I think I remember that there was a death in her family? Many questions, and I don't want to be intrusive. I've known y'all for ... gee, 20 years? but I don't know you well, if that makes sense.

Practically separated, yes. Emotionally, no. You're right about the death in the family, and that's caused her to be wrapped up in a lot of wrangling that is messy at best with the Pandemic Courts. Everything has to be mailed in, now, and since she's executor for two estates that are taking a lot to coordinate, it's no fun. So, I see her.... sometimes.

Tonight is one of those sometimes as she decided that riding out a TS/Hurricane was better at home than at her home. It's kind of nice to have her around, even if it's comatose.

Yeah, I imagine a lot of santa's will be without berths this year alas. Kids ahve been deprived of so much this year due to necessity, it is sad. I didn't know she was living apart now, though the reasons make sense, it is too bad. Can you do sleepover type things with you at her place for a few nights maybe? As for the hearing aids, gotta use those end of year benefits :-)

No beds left over there that fit two. Might need to remedy that, once we get the estates wrangled down a bit. Or, maybe that's a savings goal while we wait to finish the wrangling. I wonder how much a decent mattress and box springs set costs.... I have a queen frame in the basement already I could easily toss in the car. Could be a thing. Nice idea, at least!
