A couple months ago, I decided to try my hand out at a Big Bang -- but not just any kind of big bang. I was hopelessly drawn into participating in the Inception Reverse Bang. Which was worlds of Intrigue, as it worked opposite of a big bang -- with the artist drawing something, and a writer picking the art to write a story about instead of the other way around.
So of course, I being me, signed up right away and spent the weeks up until the final due date for the artwork agonizing over what to draw. I kid you not, I have a folder full of Inception Art on my computer with a wide variety of cracky and serious art-prompts. Some of them I really loved and spent hours finishing, but in the end I decided to go with something else.
When it was near the deadline for the art submissions I was overtaken by this need to draw Mal, which meant I went that route of 'Mal was right'. Only I didn't want it to be one of those things where she just wakes up safe in her home.... thus, the Art Prompt was born.

"Mal wakes up in a dream research facility of some kind. Ends up finding/waking up the others...." had been the prompt I tossed at the image, curious to see what kind of story an author could come up with to expand on this :)
It was also a bit of an experiment in drawing an artsy prompt in a panel format. And keeping colours to a minimum. It was fun :)
