FINE, no Replacements. Next in line would have to be Hole, Live Through This. Really, I just want to stand next to Courtney Love for a while and see if she really is as live a wire as everyone says. THAT or I would definitely have wanted to be in the presence of Elliott Smith while he was recording Figure 8.
3. what's one song you wish you'd have written? Right now, I'm all about "Valentine" by The Replacements (repetitive, I know, but who fucking cares!) - I also wish I'd written "Thirteen" by Big Star. (DAMN, THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MINE!).
4. pick one tour you'd sell your soul to see in its entirety (you get to see every show at every venue)? Too Much Joy - right after they recorded Cereal Killers... that would have been the shit. And Jane's Addiction circa 1986. God, what a combination.
5. what's the coolest concert/music related experience youve shared with me (apart from the obvious)? The coolest music-related experience I've shared with you is every single day. Every time you shed light on a band or song that I've been in the dark about, every time you play something in the car and sing along, every time you quote a lyric and then grin sheepishly and look around and we just huddle together in our warm geeky glow. I suppose if I had to pick a specific moment, it would have to be when you gave me my first mixtape (Songs For When You Meet Johnny Depp)... and every mix after that.
