3. Loved it. He was well aware it was only going to buy them half an hour, but it was stirring stuff.
4. I like Rory so anything that gets him more screentime is fine by me. But like others here, I don’t get what he sees in Amy - he’s not a doormat, but he does let her treat him like crap at times. Maybe he picks his fights…

5. Do you think this influenced Amy's characterisation?

Er - what characterisation? I must’ve blinked and missed it. Because she had to be so mysterious and “the girl whose life doesn’t make sense” the writers couldn’t give too much away - and I think she was more of a plot point than a real character. To be honest, while I think there should be a change now she’s got her family back, and married to Rory, I don’t think there will be one because that’s not what Moffat appears to be interested in. And from the little we saw of her in the Christmas special, she doesn’t appear to be any different. The only thing that grew over the series was my dislike ( ... )

1. Favourite scene... probably Rory and the Doctor talking in the Underhenge. "I'm missing something, Rory, something big, something right in front of me." And the miracles speech. And, oh, yeah, the Doctor using a stable time loop to get himself out of the Pandorica, HELL YES! Especially since I was predicting that.

Most emotional... stuff that made me cry, in other words? Cos the FaS reprise hit me pretty hard, along with the bit in her bedroom as he prepares to go through the crack, and the story of the centurion... most of Big Bang, actually. Or for a broader definition of emotional, seeing him put into the Pandorica, because it scared the crap out of me. You asked if TSE was the cruellest cliffhanger ever? Nup. It was THIS ( ... )

6. More difficult to tell with the Doctor's arc, since whatever happens this year will affect it too... but I think... Ten lost people in terrible ways, nearly every year. And the ones who could have stayed all walked away. That's why he stopped accepting companions, after all, he couldn't handle the repeated loss and abandonment, and he regenerated with those feelings not really dealt with. But Eleven appears to be learning that people will come back into his life, that they'll wait for him for years and still say yes, and it's very much like what Amy's learning, I think.

7. Mostly I'm just hoping for more Rory, and more Doctor/Rory interaction, though the trailer doesn't seem promising in either of those respects. *pouts*

And it still worries me that River didn't know Rory...

8. I have a theory that River isn't his wife, which seems to be rare nowadays... seriously, though, I have never for a moment believed they were, are, or ever will be married. I think she's hiding something darker under those words, possibly something ( ... )
