This is another episode that gets trashed a lot, and that I don't think is all that terrible. It's got lots of enjoyable bits if you ignore the plot. It's also the last relatively lighthearted adventure for the Doctor and Rose before the feces hits the air-moving device. And it's one of Who's rare Everybody Lives episodes, which is always nice

Re the Olympics: am I the only one who, once realizing David Tennant wasn't going to carry the flame, much less light it, totally lost any interest they might have had?
Nope. :) I mean, I didn't really expect it to happen, but I was hoping so hard!
What was *really* disappointing was that there was a recent mini-episode with Eleven, called Good as Gold, that was set during the 2012 opening ceremonies, and Ten's presence and actions WEREN'T EVEN MENTIONED. >:-P
