I like that he can look back at the people he loves, but that he can still move past them as well. That feels just like the Doctor to me.

I tried to remember what I asked in the sign up but I forgot. But its not important at all because this story left a wonderful warm feeling in me, so true and honest and perfect.

You compared Donna to River and River to Donna and wrote a very realistic look on our favorite time lord.

I simply love it, thank you!

You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was too sure that the jumping back and forth was going to work or that the Doctor (in both incarnations) was going to be realistic enough. But my beta jessicaqueen liked it, so I figured I passed!

Wow. I've not seen a fic exploring this particular mix of lives and loves, and I would never have thought of it either, but it really works with a surprising symmetry. Poor Doctor!
