But if he seals up the hole in the Time War, how will Donna get back out?

Don't worry! The Medusa Cascade rift is one access point to the hole in the Time War, but the Cardiff rift is still open, and probably a few others here and there.

Thank you so much for this end of this chapter. It makes my night.

with a horrible bewildering gratefulness that the Master's here.

I love these words. Love Them.

I also love the Master's jealousy of how brilliant the Doctor is, just by being so slapdash and Doctor-y and brilliant. I'm thinking this, like the last installment, totally deserves a reread. :D

(This is far less coherent than my previous review. It's a bit more of disjointed thoughts than, you know, proper paragraphs describing things. Er.)

If I had two hearts, they would both be pounding right now. As it is, I am simply remaining stunned by the fact that, after typing my (in retrospect extraordinarily long) comment to 5x04, reading 5x05 and 5x06, then actually preparing to type a final-ish comment to 5x06 ... the link to this episode suddenly became blue and clickable. It was sort of religious. (And then, as I typed this comment, I received a message about 'emergency maintenance' and that... was a little less exciting.)

As it is, wow! This episode and the last have been astonishing. I mean, 5x06 particularly with the verb tenses and Mostly!Unexpected Romana, but oh, Martha and Jack are simply devastating ( ... )

Wow, this is good. Absolutely top-notch characterization of absolutely everybody.
