And clever Martha. Make it sound urgent and ZOMG!TOMORROW, and he comes running (time machine or not, silly thing). Send him an invitation three months ahead of time, and he'll find a way to conveniently lose it while saving the universe or somesuch. Martha, at least, understands how the Doctor operates.
No plot? Really? Wow, I actually wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it, cuz... I think you accomplished PLENTY in this chapter. ;)
I can't cope with the fact I will have to wait an amount of time til the next one. I am considering sleeping til the next one, so I don't have to think about the withdrawal inbetween stories. That, or finding the Doctor and moving forward in time to the next one. Although if I did find the Doctor, I hope I'd do something more exciting than just go forward in time to read about him. I digress, the original point of this comment was to say, firstly I want so badly for you to take over and write Doctor Who, I think the world would be a better place if this could happen. Also, these really are fantastical, when you're reading them, you don't feel consious of the fact your reading, it all flows so wonderfully, it all feels so real. And the stories are so clever. I am completely astounded at the amazingness of these. Thank you :D
Wow! That was good. I'm not that much of a Master fan - he seems far too pantomime villian-ish in Classic Who - and Simm!Master did nothing for me personally (gimme Yana!Master *any* day! rawr! Um, sorry, tangent!)
- but, to get back to my point, that was really enjoyable. And I loved the way he decided not to incur Martha's wrath for the Doctor...
Oh and I giggled at Martha ringing him up just the day before the wedding. She's got his number alright!
Couple of typos:
"Is it really this dull traveling you?" the Master demands
"travelling with you"
and though the Doctor can he's good enough to say nothing.
"can" what? "tell" seems the most likely but there's definitely a word missing there...
