Idol Rant for 5/4/10
Ah 2009 when there was Top 5. Even Gokey was tolerable that night, the only night he ever was.
Tonight so far we have Aaron. He sucked. But it turns out he sucks the least.
Poor Casey, he was charming, but he sucked and Kara finally called him out on his goat voice.
Crystal sounded like she was freaking drowning.
So at this point, having read the spoilers, more crap's a coming, so to counteract it, I'm on a nostalgia trip. So let's look back to some past awesome performance on RatPack/Sinatra/Big Band/Old Goat Music nights of yore:

Kris Allen - Ah when Jamie Foxx drank the milkshake and spoke for Kris fans everywhere. He did the same thing you won't see from Big Mike tonight, The Way You Look Tonight. You'll notice that Randy used the same speech he used tonight.
lol at Aunt Becky with glasses at -2:15 in that video cheering for Kris. I love Aunt Becky. And it always cracks me up how Kara sounds like a bitch even when she is praising someone highly.
BACK TO IDOL 2010. INTENSE RAGE AND HATRED INSERTED HERE FOR RANDY AND SIMON RIGHT NOW. WTF. MIKE SUCKED THE MOST.
Seriously, the only thing saving this episode is Harry Connick Jr being infinitely classy, UNF to the extreme, and much nicer than I'm being.
So then we have little Lee. Turns out there's a rumor he's a plant. Of course he is. Harry, he most certainly does not look like you, he looks like Gokey's lost bastard love child. GAWD they want him to win. WHY I don't know, he is the best of the night and I would still rather listen to the greatest hits of Seasons 3 and 6 over this. So I think bottom 3 shall be: Casey, Crystal and Mike. Hopefully we lose Mike but we'll probably say goodbye to Casey.
Of course gold standard for this theme night is the Queen of Idol, Kelly Clarkson and her Stuff Like That There. I am appalled at myself for not having this on my Best Idol Performances YT playlist, of course it should be on there. It's on there now and it shall close my rant. Click on it and then tell me that any of these AI9 goombahs even deserve to be on the stage.
