DyAl - `Marry` Christmas

Dec 27, 2009 00:39

A Christmas story featuring our favorite gay men.  Hehe. =D  Merry Christmas!

Snow crunched under their feet as they huddled up close for warmth. This was their first winter together as they had met last spring.
Dymitry normally didn't like the harsh cold of the season, but as Alfons pressed himself against him, he had found a new appreciation for it.
Dymitry wrapped his arm around him tightly. "How about we get a tea or a steamed milk?" he suggested, kissing the top of his head.

Alfons nodded appreciatively, his teeth chattering.
Dymitry grinned down at him. "Or I could warm you up," he said in a voice that didn't allow for misinterpretation.
"The steamed milk sounds good," Alfons responded.

Dymitry felt slightly disappointed. Ah well, it didn't hurt to try.

They entered the cafe and ordered their drinks and sat in armchairs, away from the cold windows. They chatted about random things that came to mind.

Alfons was much more talkative than when they first met, much to Dymitry's relief. They had met in this very cafe. Alfons had ordered a tea to go, and Dymitry - who was sitting in a chair nearby - promptly got up and begun hitting on him. Alfons wasn't able to shake him off since. Funny how something that really freaked him out at the time had become one of the happiest memories he had.

Dymitry noticed the smile on Alfons' face as he sipped his drink, deep in thought. Dymitry smiled and leaned in once Alfons lowered the mug and caught his lips in a kiss, surprising him slightly.

"I bought your Christmas present yesterday," Dymitry tells him with a teasing smile. His smile widened when he saw the look of surprise and interest on his face. "You can't have it yet, though. It's only halfway through December." He kissed him again, ignoring the looks from the other customers.
They finished their drinks and headed back out into the snow, which had begun falling heavily. Dymitry pulled Alfons against him when he had noticed him begin to shiver.

They headed back to Alfons' apartment after a short walk. After Dymitry had tackled and play wrestled with Alfons in the snow, they were both freezing.

Alfons changed into dry clothes and Dymitry had to strip down to his underwear with a blanket. He kept remarking that he wouldn't need the blanket if Alfons sat in his lap.

When Alfons sat next to Dymitry, Dymitry grinned at him. "How about you put on some bad TV so we can make out?"

Alfons was flustered, and had a mix look on his face. He seemed like he wanted to though, so Dymitry took the initiative and pulled him up close, planting his lips against his. Dymitry felt Alfons melt against him as he returned his kisses eagerly.
He hoped it wasn't too soon. Surely Alfons would like his gift.

Later that night when Dymitry would normally have headed home, he looked a little sheepish. "Is it okay if I stay here for a while? I went a little overboard on your gift, and..."

Alfons' eyes widened. "No, y-you shouldn't have-"

"Don't be silly," Dymitry cut him off. "I really want you to have it."

"But-"

"I really want you to have it," Dymitry repeated, smiling at him and he took hold of his hands.

Alfons blinked and blushed at the intensely tender look in Dymitry's eyes. "A-alright."

Where Dymitry would sleep wasn't discussed, he had invited himself into Alfons' bed. Sensing Alfons wasn't ready for something to happen, Dymitry just held him, snuggled as close as he could.

Dymitry was still temporarily living with Alfons a week later. Alfons quickly discovered that he didn't mind, though he had to be sure he locked the door when taking a shower.

Over the week, Alfons had noticed a change in the way Dymitry looked at him. His eyes were usually teasing and affectionate, but they had become noticeably tender, and the taller man constantly looked as if he wanted to say something.

Christmas Eve came. The two went out on a walk, bundled up for the cold. They admired the Christmas lights and decorations of the homes they passed. When they arrived back at Alfons' apartment, Dymitry treated him to a very fancy candle lit dinner.
Dymitry had decorated the apartment. From the look in Alfons' eyes, this was his first real Christmas. Dymitry smiled. It was going to become even better.

"I was originally going to wait 'til tomorrow, but..." He tossed a small, shiny package at Alfons. "I couldn't wait."

Alfons caught it and looked down at it, wondering how such a small package made Dymitry broke.
He unwrapped it wuickly and opened the box. Inside was a golden ring. Alfons stared at it, stunned. He looked away from the gift, finding Dymitry in front of him, down on one knee. Realization hit him quickly, and his eyes stung with tears. He threw himself into Dymitry's arms. "Yes!"
