Do you believe in time travel?

I've seen a lot of LJ users list Donnie Darko as one of their favorite movies, so I got curious and downloaded. Has anyone here watched it? Nakakaloka. I was sort of "forced" into watching it today - I haven't watched it pa kasi, and my laptop is running out of space. So the plan was to watch it, then delete it. But now I can't, because I keep ( Read more... )

magpapaka geek mode ako.
If I'm not mistaken, yung theory of relativity states that time slows down the faster you travel. So for example, meron tayong na build na super bilis na spaceship... travels in light speed, or even faster... then nagtravel siya papuntang pluto. Sa sobrang bilis niya, pagbalik niya sa Earth, naka pag time travel na siya kasi mabagal ang oras niya. Tehcnically, nasa future na siya kasi yung time sa earth while it was travelling is still in its normal speed unlike theirs na bumagal. Parang ganun. Haha

But I don't wanna go to Pluto. I just wanna stay here and see kung ano hitsura ng mga magiging anak ko. Hahaha.

Meron na bang na-build na spaceship na ganun kabilis? :\

Woot. Quantum physics na yan, if I'm not mistaken.

I myself believe in multiple timelines. Result of reading way too many Harry Potter alternate universe fics. At points in time where there is more than one possible outcome, I believe that the timeline splits into two - or depending on how many outcomes there are. So there may be a future out there where we pass this term, and another future where we don't. :D

That would make it significantly harder to figure out a way to travel into the future, multiple timelines. I mean, how will you know which future to go to? And how are you going to get back to your correct timeline?

Heh. I didn't get all of that from Fanfiction.net, if you must know. I like reading about time travel and quantum physics too, even if I don't understand most of what I'm reading.

Story? Didn't move since you read it - but I edited and added around 400 words to refine some vague points...

who woulda thunk.
maybe, instead of a writer, you should be a quantum physicist! :P
