Well, knirirr has been antsing after a sock with "a tight pipe*" for a while. When Sock Knitters' Anonymous September mystery sock theme was "orange", it seemed the perfect opportunity.

I just this second finished another pair for boyofbadgers (his last lot went in the washing machine and ended up twice the size, erk) and they are a bit big, whoops. But then again I did them without a pattern (yikes). Now I'm going to bloody well try that cushion again...

Without a pattern! I am way too chicken to do that. My latest pair of socks ended up enormously long because for some reason I wimped out of following my instinct rather than the pattern...

What is this "When Sock Knitters' Anonymous" mystery sock them of which you speak??

Not that I can afford any more obsessions, but, you know. ;)

I met someone at IKL last night who's doing a Mystery Shawl KAL that looked like fun, too.

SKA is a Rav group, that has a year-long "sockdown". This past month, there's been a mystery sock KAL with parts of the pattern coming out every Monday in September. The project is up on my page somewhere; I'll send you a SKA invite too, hold on...

Wait, I already am a member of that group. I just don't ever *look* at my Ravelry groups. I probably ought to, but there's only so much time in the day. Pleh. Feelin' kinda stupid now. ;)
