I had a lovely day out yesterday with antarra. We went to telynor's knitting class on Weird Knitting Techniques over at iknit, and it was great fun!
I thought the whole day would be a disaster, as it started very badly. The 7.56 bus just never showed, and with no bus then that would get me in before 10am, I had to drag knirirr out of bed to drive me to Oxford to ( Read more... )

Sounds like a fun day! I need to blog about K1 and holiday yarn-buying today.

Happy to have a look at the Cotton Glace for you, and may be interested in buying it if we decide it's not for you (what colourway is it?). Although there's always Dylon...

Oh, and I was going to ask if you fancied coffee sometime anyway, so if you do that could be combined with considering yarn colours.

It is "tickle" colourway. It looked way more heathery and dusty-rose-ish in the picture when I ordered it. Sheesh.
Coffee at some point sounds cool! Especially as we are now out of term *does happydance*
Though yes, overdyeing might also work, just not sure how I'd overdye 10 balls of stuff.
I look forward to your K1 post!

Hmm. That's the colourway I've been knitting and frogging for the last four years, so possibly I don't need any more! I think it might be a bit pastelly for you, although possibly OK with something bright under. As for dying, I was thinking of dying the completed garment rather than the yarn.

And let me know when is good for coffee. I can do any evening but Tuesdays.
