Chaaaaa, it was really bad last night! Luckily on my side of town it didn't get more than really rainy and windy! My neighbor across the street had his tree ripped in two, but that's the worst damage I saw. On the other hand, my ex-boyfriend had his freaking CHIMNEY ripped off his house! He lives closer to your area of town though..
I do however know that they had to cancel school for some areas because the powerlines were down and whole areas of town had no lights! I'm a little jealous of them.. :]
"Then around 3 I start hearing thunder in the distance, but think nothing of it (for once)." <--- that is SO true, you've always been like scared...of storms and stuff XD Makes you miss your Ohio basement right? XD
Wow! That IS crazy! We were under tornado watches all night, as well as flash flood watches. (The area over by work was flooded like crazy!) But I didn't watch the news to know if it got any worse. I didn't sleep well though. I have a hard time sleeping at my house by myself when it's really stormy. I get scared and paranoid
( ... )
Eek, I'm glad you're okay!! It sounds like you guys in Allen had it worse than we did down here! ><
I normally love storms (I think they're exciting! ♥), but the one last night was awful! Our entire block was blacked out from 2 in the morning until like 30 minutes ago T__T
PS~~You should also make sure you've got candles and a lighter! And crank-powered radios are nifty too! We've got one *father=survival expert XD*, and it never needs batteries! ^^
