A-kon 19 and Berry Cute performance!
All right, so this is my report! You can skip ahead to the performance part ify ou don't want to hear about my crappy weekend XD
Thursday- Arrived on Train. I hate the train, I've never been on it alone, and I hate the look the homeless people give you, like you're something to eat o__o;; It's a little creepy. So pretty much watched videos on my phone the whole time XD I arrived and got off, and went to the room, walking into the room, I insantly felt uncomfortable. The girl who's room we were staying in is a girl who's pretty high up within Afest, and she's a BIIIITCH. She really is, and I very much dislike her. I thought it was funny, cause Kristy and I both got the same feeling I guess, we both put our stuff close to the door. Easy escape lol. And we stayed in the same spot that entire weekend if we were in the room. We basically went downstairs to get our passes, and then we worked on costumes and then we waitied in line with Angela (whom I missed dearly!) Maia, and Mirachan. I've never met Maia in person, but I think we clicked together as a group like instantly. And that made me happy.
We went to meet up with Misa after that, and Jamie was there, the girl who quit the room, and she like whispered to her friend something about us, and they laughed, which made me smirk, if she thinks she can make me feel bad. Her hair was atrocious, and I KNOW I looked cute ahaha~ Anyway, she ran off, scared of us, not wanting to talk about us to our faces, and her friend tried to explain to some guy there about why she left, and about us, and they were whispering and Kristy was like "I don't like her either" and Jamie's friend was kind of like *nervous smile also runs off* ahaha, so that was a little entertaining.
That night, we had rehearsal for 3 hours. We found a crook in a hallway, in front of reflective windows, we had to update Maia with changes in choreography because of the people cut and time changes, but it worked out good!
That night, we got in about 3 and then, we talked with the other people in the room, a lot of them were drunk o.o; and we slept on the floor that night. Didn't get to sleep until about 7 or 7:30 BECAUSE the elevators are RIGHT there, and Manuel and Mr. Insomniac decided to talk all right. And they literally did...and so I'm drifting in and out of sleep and Kristy finally yells "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!" and one of the other girls, Julie, she told the guys to get out of the room, and I finally fell asleep *thank goodness*
Friday- Friday we worked on costumes and then we got to explore the con a bit too :O We met up with kiwi!! For the first time in a year! I missed kiwi!!!!! So he took a look at our costumes and he loved them~ and then we went downstairs to the jpop room, and hung out! Kiwi gave me one of his ramune~ and we sat there and watched some berryz and had a good ol time. Then we had rehersal that night again!
The staff was rude and unhelpful, so we took one of the empty ballrooms with out permission and practiced there XDDD And it worked perfect, we had a freaking huge thing of water right there and tons of cups and lots of room and plugs for my laptop! And we had a FIVE hour rehearsal. We did solo dances, and Angeal helped a lot and the other girls helped each other with little things. Misa had the most problems, I think she practiced the least amount, but she improved so much after that rehearsal and I was really really proud of everyone and all the hard work they put into it. We finally got the dance down and ordered some pizza. We went up to Mirachan, Angela and Maia's room and finished up costumes!
We realized our freaking mix of jiriri wasn't going to work, which sucked because we really wanted to use Our vocals... but since jamie dropped out so late and the recordings we did before didn't work out because there were a lot of wrong parts sung and a lot of missing parts, >_< so we were left with no choice but to use the original. But we did another dance take and our PV will have original vocals, so it works out in the end!
After sleeping for 3 hours, we went downstairs for cosplay reg. at 9:30, lineup wasn't supposed to be until 10... like last year, but people were already in line. It was total disorganization. And I panicked. the line was REALLY long... and I was terrifyed we wouldn't get in to perform. So I sat there panicking for 45 minutes... and I felt sick and really weak and just not well at all. We finally got in. We were the 2nd to last skit let on... and this relief set in. And my exhaustion was taking a toll on me, and I was crying XD and being really retarded. But I was really happy and relieved.. T___T
When we got back to the room, I literally crashed, I laid down on the floor, and CRASHED. I was gone XD I remember someone saying something to me, and I don't even remember what they said or if I responded... At 1:30 P I woke up, and I felt a little better, but still sick to my stomach, I thought I should eat, but I couldn't, I really didn't feel good. But, I took a shower and began getting ready. I put on some basic makeup and took my stuff up to the next floor to mirachan, maia and angela's room. Angeal was upstairs recovering from having an asthma attack when a SECURITY person breathed smoke into her face O__O what a freaking retard... and the others were getting ready. My skirt had to be cut shorter still and kiwi did it, but I don't like how my skirt turned out, so I'm going to redo it within the next 2 weeks or so... It's not flowy enough ahaha. And theeen~ we finished makeup and hair and made our debut. We literally stood down there taking picture after picture for 15 minutes or so. We were getting a lot of attention from our jpop costumes, and that was great! =D

Anyway, skipping some random stuff, we go into the performance hall, and it's utter chaos, then we thought we were Disqualified, and then we were told we weren't and it was a mistake because the number looked like a different one, than it was O_o and then, we their dress rehearsal was a bust because you walked on stage and then walked off, there wasn't even a tiny try out on the stage, they forced you on and off, which sucked cause the stage was a little slick, which we didn't realize until after we started dancing during the actual show.
They started putting people in the ball room for the show and then they tell us our CD isn' working because we used a vista computer to burn it MOFO. and I'm PISSED. I'm already stressed XD and so we had to run upstairs to the 16th floor got the laptop and took the service elevator down XD Ignoring the staff only signs ahahaha.
We got there in time, and then finally it was time to relax and get ready for our performance. We were really funny backstage, as we're waiting backstage to go on, we did this squid dance to relax and kind of laugh a bit to let out the nervousness, and it really works, laughing is the best before a performance. But really, I wasn't nervous at all, I felt a little lightheaded from not eating or keep hydrated XD but I wasn't nervous. We go on stage then and I felt the power from the crowd, and this was one performance I wasn't worried or scared to look into the audience, I wasn't scared at all actually, I was determined, and it was such a great feeling. I'll never tire of being on stage, ever. It's amazing... HIRE ME TSUNKU.
Anyway, we had to cut it off at 2 minutes which meant we lost the last 30 seconds of dance (we finished vocal) which sucked, but I wasn' about to be taken off stage by that black costumed guy who was doing that. Which was really lame by the way. And we waved and smiled as we exited the stage, and the audio guy in the back got the hint and faded out the music and everyone figured that was our entire skit, not that we had to cut it short last minute XD so it worked out.
We did another dance take outside in the location of our eurobeatking photoshoot for a danceshot so we could do the entire song. Then, eurobeatking comes out and wants to do more photos with us, so we agree, and do a few more with him. Then at that time everyone is starving not having eaten all day, and so we ordered overpriced chinese food, and I wasn't hungry still, but I felt really really sick. When I got up to the hotel room, I felt SO SICK. I had a blasting headache and like my vision was going weird... and Kendra was a bitch to me, and I was too weak at that point to care, but I tried eating a bit of the dumplings and it kind of put my appetite up and I managed to eat a little and I drank a lot of water and I felt much much better after the food settled and got into my body. I guess I was really dehydrated and just out of energy in general. But we crashed around 3.
Sunday we woke up at 10 and I felt like a zombie and I still felt a little disoriented and not very good. My stomach still felt funny and my head still hurt, and my voice was gone to hell. But we ate at a super expensive starbucks.. o_o;; 21 dollars for 2 people XD and we went to the dealers room. I bought a magazine with w-inds. as the feature O_O it came with a w-inds. poster of course I had to buy it XDD they're my BOYS!
I also bought the first pucchi best CD because it had good songs on there XD And I haven't seen it sold anywhere, it was expensive as hell, but it's the first press, so it's all right!
Then I took my ride home.
I feel like I'm still recovering from the weekend. I just got my appetite back, but apparently everyone had gotten sick, so there was some kind of a virus going around.
Overall, it was the worst con I had been to. LOL, really, the only reason I enjoyed it, were the happy pro girls and the performance. Even though that was the reason for my exhaustion, I'll take it. It was worth it. And I'd do it again, hell if I have to be that exhausted every weekend of a performance, I'd still do it. Because in my mind, performing is everything, it really fuels me and gets my adrenaline pumping and there's nothing else like it.
