This just isn't working. I finished the pencil-work for page 1 and it just doesn't seem to translate very well. I don't know if its just me being moody or what, but it just doesn't do anything for me. And when i look forward, i'm just irritated by the entire proposed story arc. I've got to rethink this, because something just isn't working.

Probably cranky ;-) My mood really affects how I view art/ writing. I'm sure it's not nearly as bad as you think. But things like that are always great to rework.

You realize if you keep picking at it you'll never get it up and out there. At some point you need to just say "good enough" and post it. Then, you can see what the reaction from others are and go from there. At the very least send it to some other people that you trust and get their opinnions on it before you spend the next three years working on the first page. ;p

I agree with casemerjy, but understand your predicament--this is your project, and you want it to be great. On the other hand, sometimes you just need to throw the stuff out there and let it get done--regardless of its current excellence.

It's okay to start of with "B" material, if that's what it takes to get started. It lets you get your feet wet; and of course, you can always step it up as the thing progresses.
