Bone: A Landmark Comic Series

Sunday M & I stopped at a Half-Price Books and I found this graphic novel illustrated by Charles Vess. And, since I am a fan of that artist ever since I discovered Stardust, I picked it up. M read it first and discovered that it was, in fact, a prequel to the comic series Bone: which unfortunately we hadn't read, so the comic I now owned didn't ( Read more... )

I haven't heard a single bad thing about Bone, ever. Unfortunately all I've ever read of it was the bits that would run in Disney Adventures Magazine waaay back. Someday maybe I'll get around to finding a copy...

Well, as I mentioned, you can find the entire series as a single volume on Amazon for less then $30. Which I considered to be well worth it, given how much RPG books cost anymore.

No kidding! RPG book prices make me sad.

If I find myself with an income and someplace to store new books, I'll probably pick Bone up then.

I've heard only wonderful things about Bone, although I have almost no idea what the actual storyline is (no need to elaborate, I may pick this up eventually). I also heard that the actual comics are valued by many individuals.
